This is for a Hebrew / English Shema Pewter Mezuzah. A Mezuzah contains a small scroll of a Biblical Hebrew text from Deuteronomy chapter 6. “And you shall inscribe them on the doorposts (mezuzot) of our house and on your gates” (Deuteronomy 6:9, 11:20).

What is to be inscribed? Divine instruction is very clear: “The words that I shall tell you this day”: that you shall love your God, believe only in Him, keep His commandments, and pass all of this on to your children. It goes on the doorpost and as you see it when entering the home - it is a reminder that God's Word is honored in this home.
